Covid-19 Policies and Procedures

As of 5/29/2020 I am open for business and seeing clients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 is spread through close human contact and consequently massage therapy can be a high risk activity if one of us is infected. Although I am taking all recommended infection precautions per the CDC's guidelines, it is impossible to provide a 100% guarantee against infection. You will be asked to sign a COVID-19 Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability when you arrive for your appointment.

If you are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, coughing, headache, sore throat, diarrhea, nausea or fatigue, please do not schedule a massage appointment. Instead, see your doctor as these might be symptoms of COVID-19.

The State of Maryland has required that both the client and therapist wear facemasks during the massage session. I will be wearing a respirator mask with 2 air filters (like you see painters use) during our session, but a simple cloth mask will be fine for you. I am spraying down the massage table and face cradle with a CDC-recommended virucide in between clients, as well as the door handle, chair and table in the room (where clients leaves their clothers and belongings). Hand sanitizer is available throughout the office. Your temperature will be taken with a no-contact thermometer when you arrive - if you record a temperature of over 100.4, you will be sent home as a precaution and our massage will be cancelled at no cost to you.

The staff at Whole Chiropractic Healthcare, where I rent my office, is taking similar precautions for their customers and is limiting the number of patients allowed into the clinic to two at a time. There should not be very many people in the waiting area when you come. If there are, you may fill out my paperwork in my massage room in private.

The Maryland Health Department and Governor's Office may issue new executive orders as situations change, so the information on this page is subject to change at any time. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
